WebJan 14, 2024 · Ive had a hesitation (after 3k rpm) on my 14' 500L, dealer replaced 1 coil & all the plugs, good for a few days then hesitation came back. A fee weeks later of hesitation they changed the remaining 3 coils yesterday & hesitation is gone. Hope it stays gone. I never got a code for misfire but computer was looking into it. Looking at my manual - it seems to state "irrespetive of mileage, the timing belt should be changed every 4 years (cold climate, hard driving etc) or every 5 years otherwise" WebJul 26, 2024 · I read the codes off to find P0300 (random or multiple misfire) and P0301 (misfire on cyl. #1). We've not done anything to the car but I guess the investigation order is: a. Injector lead (s) b. Plug / lead. c. Coil pack (but wouldn't this involve two cylinders?) d. Injector (maybe swap between cylinders to see if fault follows?) e. ECU f.
