Web31 Jan 2024 · The Zorn palette (also known as the Apelles palette) comprises four colours thought to have been used by the Swedish portrait painter Anders Zorn (18 February 1860 – 22 August 1920). These colours are Vermilion, Ivory Black, Flake White and Yellow Ochre. WebI was thinking of doing a study with the Zorn palette. I am planning on using acrylic paints and the colors I have at hand are Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red Hue and Titanium White. Problem is, I have fully run out of Ivory Black and I am left with only Mars Black. Would it be a sin to use Mars Black in my Zorn palette instead of Ivory Black?
